The state of St. Helena’s economy will be the focus of the first “Economic Outlook Forum” to be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26 at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone.
The forum will examine St. Helena’s revenue streams, including sales tax and Transient Occupancy Taxes, and will feature presentations by five people.
St. Helena City Manager Gary Broad and Karen Scalabrini, its finance director, will give a financial update for the City of St. Helena.
Mary Flynn from MuniServices will talk about sales tax trends and economic analysis; Clay Gregory, executive director of Visit Napa Valley, will give an analysis of Napa Valley’s TOT and will discuss the typical visitor to the Napa Valley; and Pam Simpson, CEO and president of the St. Helena Chamber of Commerce, will discuss St. Helena destination marketing.
The Economic Outlook Forum is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and the City of St. Helena.
