The Napa Valley Wine Library Association will host its annual Winemaker’s Seminar on Aug. 10 at the former Copia Center, 500 First St. in Napa.
This year’s seminar, titled “Pairing Words and Wine,” will offer a fresh take on the wine business. The panel will feature leaders from the next generation of wine professionals, including popular author Chelsea Prince, who will lead the panel of Millennial wine industry movers and shakers.
The panel will feature subjects from Prince’s new book, “Rock and Vine: Next Generation Changemakers in America’s Wine Country.” The book reveals the lives and innovations of these new industry leaders. Panelists will share their favorite wines with attendees at an intimate post-panel gathering.
Besides Prince, participants will include:
• Angelina Mondavi, Dark Matter, Hundred Acre and One True Vine
• Danny Fay, Envolve Winery
• Jordan Kivelstadt, Free Flow Wines & Kivelstadt Cellars
• Tony Leonardini, BNA Wine Group
• Maggie Pramuk, Robert Biale Vineyards
The “Pairing Words and Wine” seminar will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. The panel discussion will take place from 9-10:45 a.m. and will be followed by a special wine tasting and book signing with the author and panel participants, on the adjacent sycamore-shaded terrace, from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Lunch will take place at the nearby Oxbow Public Market, where attendees can spend their seminar-provided “Ox-Bucks” at the market’s many vendors and restaurants.
“The Napa Valley Wine Library is excited to share a fresh perspective on the new opportunities in the wine industry as we bridge the gap between Napa and Sonoma, as well as our winemaking generations,” said Carolyn Martini, president of the Napa Valley Wine Library Association. “We are thrilled to listen and learn from these new voices in our industry.”
