This is a great all-the-time wine: you can enjoy a glass with a crab salad lunch; sip it pool side as the temperatures start to rise; have a bottle with afternoon oysters at Bodega Bay; or serve it with an Asian roll appetizer at your next dinner party.

There are so many times when a good sauvignon blanc is called for and Long Meadow Ranch excels with theirs.

The 2012 ($20) has a solid backbone of refreshing acidity with lime citrus and stone fruit flavors.

No need to stop at the food pairings mentioned above, either. This wine is very food friendly and there are many options including crab tostadas, a creamy shrimp dip and lemon chicken.
