One of the most successful and respected touring one-man shows in the world, “Vincent,” comes to The White Barn for two shows at 8 p.m. Friday April 20, and Saturday, April 21. Written by Leonard Nimoy, “Vincent” stars actor, director, and world-renowned acting teacher, Jim Jarrett.
A review from The New York Times captures why Vincent has been such a touring success: “Mr. Nimoy’s play is compelling, humorous, inspiring and most of all, educational. We discover Vincent was much more than a madman artist — he was a man who, after years of wandering and searching his soul, discovered his dream, his God-given purpose for being on this planet and then spent the next 10 years of his life trying to do justice to this gift. That’s noble and rare. And for the audience, inspiring.”
In honor of the artist, there will be “Van Gogh” artworks for sale, pieces created by local artists and students. Profits from ticket sales and art purchases from this two-day event will benefit art programming in local schools.
