In partnership with United Way Bay Area and the IRS, the St. Helena Public Library offers a free, volunteer-run personal income tax preparation service for low- and middle-income persons and those unable to afford paid tax service.
Counselors are available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursdays from Feb. 1 through April 12 at the St. Helena Public Library, 1492 Library Lane.
Please bring the following with you when you come:
-Copy of last year’s IRS & CA income tax returns
-W-2s from all jobs and all other tax forms
-Social Security benefit statement for 2017
-1099 forms for interest, dividends & other income
-1099-R forms from your pension or annuity
-Driver’s License and Social Security cards for all taxpayers and Social Security cards and photo ID for all dependents
-Savings and checking bank statements or blank checks for direct deposits’ account and routing number information
