Fear not, Pet Parade fans and Fun Runners. Despite some early trouble finding organizers, St. Helena’s annual Harvest Festival is a go.
One of the city’s most enduring traditions will return Oct. 19. Popular events like the Pet Parade and the 5K Fun Run are on the schedule, according to Susan Duryea, hospitality coordinator and public relations manager for the St. Helena Chamber of Commerce.
There will be food, entertainment, local artisans and a Kids’ Carnival. Duryea said local nonprofit food vendors will be “an important anchor” for the event.
This year’s festival will have a slightly modified layout that will allow for more picnic table seating on the grassy areas at St. Helena Elementary School. Other details will be announced in the coming weeks at StHelenaHarvestFestival.com.
Duryea said the Harvest Festival board is still seeking more board members to help organize the event. To volunteer, contact Duryea at 963-4456 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
