Silver Rose resort project ‘moving full speed ahead’
After delays due to financing and unfavorable weather, buildings are sprouting up on the old Silver Rose property, showing promise of a grand opening in the project’s future after missing the original opening by three years.
“We are moving full speed ahead. Right now we are focused on executing the construction,” said Victor Cortes, vice president of development for Bald Mountain, the company behind the project.
There are three main parts of the project that can be seen from the road, Cortes said. That includes the residential homes, the villas that contain the guest rooms, and the main building that contains the hotel lobby and restaurant.
The individual residential homes on the eastern side of the property are framed in, and the roofs and windows are in the process of going in.
The houses on the Rosedale Road side of the property have the concrete foundations poured, plumbing and electrical complete and are “going vertical” with framing next.
The houses are all “on track” and “on schedule” to be done by the end of this year or the beginning of 2019, he said. Most of the homes, with starting prices of $3.5 million, are sold, Cortes said.
