The St. Helena Public Library gets by with a little help from our Friends … & Foundation. Our Friends of the Library group was established in 1968, then merged with our Foundation in 2013.
Over the years, our library has received over $1.1 million from these groups to fund children and adult programming, purchase materials to enhance our collection, and help pay for staffing to keep the library open six days a week. With their help, our library has become a community hub for learning, engagement, social activities, creativity and entertainment.
The 12th annual National Friends of Libraries Week is Oct. 15-21 and it’s the perfect opportunity for the administration and trustees of the St. Helena Public Library to give our Friends & Foundation a big shout out for all they do to make a difference for us every single day.
But they can’t do this without our community’s support. We hope you’ll consider making a generous gift to Friends & Foundation this year. Simply log on to supportSHLibrary.org and click “Donate Now,” or stop by the library and pick up a donation form. Giving to Friends & Foundation is a great way to give back to St. Helena and make our library even better.
