As I think about this wine, I’m on a coach bus from Paris to the Loire Valley; the latter being France’s reigning region for cabernet franc. The Napa and Loire valleys express the grape very differently.
Napa’s generous sunshine gives the wines luscious red and black fruits with richness, while the Loire’s have a tighter structure and refreshing lift.
But what Lang & Reed excels at is bridging the gap between these two worlds. They have long been acclaimed for wielding deliciously fruity wines with bright acidity — ones that accommodate a meal; and are not themselves the meal.
Lang & Reed, with each sip, lets us have the best of both worlds.
