Details for MARIN CLEAN ENERGY - Ad from 2021-11-23

MCE Notice of Proposed Rate Adjustments Effective January 1, 2022 MCE — the primary electric generation service provider in Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, and Solano Counties — is considering rate adjustments effective January 1, 2022, due to increasing energy costs. During times when the cost of energy is lower, MCE has been able to keep rates low and pass savings along to customers and in 2022 will continue to provide stable and competitive rates. MCE’s proposed rate adjustments would result in the average MCE customer’s generation costs (inclusive of PG&E’s PCIA) increasing by a minimum of $0.003 per kWh, or 1% of the total bill costs. Based on current forecasted rates, MCE is targeting a 2% savings for generation costs compared to PG&E. To learn more, visit or join our upcoming Board Meeting on December 16, 2021. MCE has exceeded state clean energy targets while building 22 local renewable energy projects (49 MW) and 1,250 electric vehicle charging stations across its service area.
