NOTICE OF SPECIAL SCHOOL FACILITY IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT BOND ELECTION AND DEADLINES FOR ARGUMENTS
AND REBUTTALS FOR NAPA VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL
DISTRICT SCHOOL FACILITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1
BOND MEASURE “A” NOVEMBER 8, 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN BY THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS that
a special SCHOOL FACILITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT No. 1 bond
election will be held on November 8, 2022 consolidated with the General
Election to be held in the County of Napa for the registered voters in the
Napa Valley Unified School District School Facility Improvement District
No. 1 on the bond measure summarized as follows:
Measure “A” “To upgrade Napa schools to meet safety/academic standards,
fix deteriorating roofs, plumbing/ electrical systems, remove hazardous
materials including asbestos/ lead pipes; construct, repair, upgrade, and
acquire classrooms, labs, facilities/equipment to support student achievement
in science, math, technology, and skilled trades, shall Napa Valley Unified
School District School Facilities Improvement District No. 1 (Napa Area)’s
measure authorizing $200,000,000 in bonds at legal rates be adopted, levying
2¢/$100 assessed value ($14,000,000 annually) while bonds are outstanding,
with independent citizen oversight and all money staying in Napa?”

NOTICE is further given that based upon the time reasonably necessary to
prepare and print the arguments and sample ballots for said election, the
Elections Division has fixed August 19, 2022 at 4:30 PM as a reasonable
date prior to the election after which no arguments for or against Measure
“A” School Facility Improvement District No.1 Bonds may be submitted for
printing and distribution to voters. Arguments must contain no more than
300 words and must be submitted to the Election Division, 1127 1st St Ste
E, Napa, California. Arguments may be withdrawn or changed up to and
including the time and date set forth as the deadline for filing.
NOTICE is further given that if arguments are submitted both for and
against the proposed measure, the authors may prepare and submit rebuttal
arguments not to exceed 250 words. The Election Division has fixed 5 p.m.
o’clock August 26, 2022 as the deadline for submission of rebuttals if such
is required.
NOTICE is further given that pursuant to E.C. 9600, all arguments and
rebuttals shall be accompanied at time of filing by “Statement that argument
is true and correct.” This form is available at the Napa County Election
Division.
NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN, that polling hours will be from
7:00 AM until 8 PM on November 8, 2022. Central counting will be
conducted at 1127 1st St Ste E, Napa, California.
