Charles and Norma Tracy of Napa celebrated their 70th anniversary with friends and family on March 6. The party was hosted by Rich and Rose Hancock and thrown by the couple’s six children.
The pair met in 1945 when Charles returned to school after serving in World War II. They were married on March 2, 1946, and started a family that would eventually grow into five daughters and one son.

Charles worked for the Veterans Administration and the family moved frequently over the years, finally settling in California in 1975. In the 1980s, the couple moved to Yountville, where Charles worked at the Veterans Home until his retirement and Norma worked with the Genealogical Library of Napa.
The large gathering to celebrate this enduring love story included the couple’s six children, nine grandchildren, and several of their great-grandchildren. The Champagne poured as so many well-wishers shared in the joy of 70 years of happiness. A special thanks to chef Jeff Bernys.
