The Napa County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is honoring business and community leaders from the Napa Valley at the 7th Annual Blend of Cultures Award and Recognition Gala.
The event will be taking place on Friday, July 13, at the Chardonnay Golf Club, from 6 to 11 p.m.
This year’s keynote speaker is Lorena Dominguez, the evening anchor for Noticiero Telemundo 48 on Telemundo 48 Área de la Bahía/KSTS. Dominguez reports on local breaking news as well as stories of interest to the Bay Area’s Latino community.
Dominguez has received 6 EMMY’s, one Gracie Award, and one RTNDA award.
Lorena was born and raised in Baja California, Mexico. She is a graduate of San Francisco State University, and completed a professional development curriculum on the area of marketing and media branding at UCLA.
The evening’s master of ceremony will be Trevor Rose, the chamber’s vice president, with Cynthia Moreno, communications consultant with the California State Assembly, the mistress of ceremony.
“This premier event will provide an excellent opportunity for our business partners to meet with corporate and political leaders who support our efforts and an opportunity to establish new partnerships,” said Gerardo Martin, chamber president.
“This high profile event will also provide attendees the opportunity to reach a very desirable demographic, make contacts with business leaders to discuss key marketing strategies for tapping into the Hispanic market.”

— The American Dream Award: Oscar and Lola Llamas, owners of Lola Llamas Family Wines and Valley
— Pruning the Future Award: Dr. Ronald Kraft, president at Napa Valley College
— Hispanic Heritage Award: Maria Cisneros, Valley Oaks High School principal and past president of the Hispanic Network
— Harvesting Pride Award: KVYN/KVON
— Male Role Model of the Year Award: Oscar Ortiz, American Canyon chief of police
— Woman of the Year Award: Irais Ortega-Lopez, owner of Cedars Home Care and Calistoga City councilwoman
— Member of the Year Award: Fairfield Inn & Suites
— Volunteer of the Year Award: Redwood Credit Union
Tickets to the event will include dinner, a silent auction, wine tasting from local wineries, dancing and more surprises.
