Napa-Solano Audubon Society will host Monique Liguori, Education Director at the Suisun Marsh Natural History Association, for an entertaining evening that looks at the history, programs and rescue efforts provided by the Wildlife Center. Liguori will be joined by two non-releasable birds from the center.
Suisun Wildlife Center is dedicated to the rescue of native California wildlife and the preservation of the Suisun Marsh, working through the dual avenues of wildlife rescue and release and environmental education. Since 1977 they have released over 17,000 wild birds and animals back to the wild in Solano County.
This digital presentation will cover the history and functions of the Suisun Wildlife Center, and participants will enjoy a close look at live birds of prey. The rescue and release of native wildlife will be discussed, and the natural history, habits, and reason for the non-releasability of their animal guests will also be covered.
This program is free and open to the public.
This Napa-Solano Audubon program is free and open to the public at the Florence Douglas Senior Center at 333 Amador Street in Vallejo.
