Tech Appointments

Lengthen and Strengthen class

Every Tuesday and Thursday at the Calistoga Community Center, 1307 Washington St., 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., instructor Karen Mann leads a Hatha yoga and fitness class. No registration required; fee is $5.

Storytelling for children

Copperfield’s Books has a storytelling session for children at 11:30 a.m. every Thursday. The store is located at 1330 Lincoln Ave.

Rotary Club

Meetings are held every Thursday at noon in the Tucker Room at the Mount St. Helena Golf Course, 2025 Grant St. Each week features a different speaker.

Mindful Singing

Experience and participate in a music setting where you sing and play rhythm instruments. No previous musical experience necessary. The class is free and held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at the Calistoga Community Center, 1307 Washington St.

Fair Association meeting

The Napa County Fairgrounds Fair Association meets the second Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Tucker Room at the Mount St. Helena Golf Course, 2025 Grant St. The meetings are open to the public.

PFLAG meeting

PFLAG Napa offers monthly UpValley Support Group meetings at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 1504 Myrtle St. The meeting is held on the second Thursday of the month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Parents, families, friends, and allies of LGBTQ+ people are invited to attend. Sip and Listen

Sip and listen as you learn art history and more at the Calistoga Art Center, 1435 N. Oak St., from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. every two weeks on a Thursday. The topic for this evening will focus on “The Rise of Rome.” This is a fun, relaxing and engaging event with refreshments. Tickets are $12 at the door or $10 in advance. County Medi-Cal Services

Every Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. a Medi-Cal workers is available to help with Medi-Cal, food stamp questions or to fill out applications. Held at the UpValley Family Center, 1705 Washington St. For appointments or information, call 341-3185.

Fit Fusion

Calistoga Recreation Department and Calistoga Fit offer this broad and dynamic workout that will challenge your strength, endurance, speed, mobility and balance on Mondays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Boys & Girls Clubhouse, 1401 N. Healthy Minds, Healthy Aging

A support and assistance for older adults service provided at Rianda House Senior Activity Center on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon. The center is located at 1475 Main St., in St. Helena. Calistoga Book Club

For those 50 and older living with Parkinson’s Disease, Essential Tremor or balance issues, this free movement class will help increase strength, balance and posture. Every Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Calistoga Community Center. Free. Drop-ins welcome.

Come, write, read, and meet other writers. Writers of all genres and formats welcome to participate in an open, supportive, and constructive atmosphere. Teens and adults welcome. The second and fourth Mondays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lorne Glaim, a retired Pacific Union College professor, will lead a current events discussion at the Calistoga Community Center, 1307 Washington St. This free event is co-sponsored by Rianda House.

Great Love Stories of Calistoga

Join Calistoga Recreation Services and hear the three Great Love Stories of Calistogans who are buried in Pioneer Cemetery on a walk from 10:30 a.m. to noon. RSVP by Monday, Feb. 12 at 942-2838. There will be some parking available, but if you can carpool or take the shuttle that is encouraged.

Caregiver support group

Kids Literacy Tutoring

Calistoga Library offers 20-minute sessions on Wednesday afternoons by appointment for kids 8 and up. Sit down one-on-one to improve children’s reading skills.
