Memorial Day at Veterans Memorial at Logvy Park

During the 2017 Memorial Day ceremony red roses were given to people who purchased new memorial bricks so they could place them on the bricks. The bricks are placed in front of the Veterans Memorial at Logvy Park.

Calistoga Garden Club

Lengthen and Strengthen class

Every Tuesday and Thursday at the Calistoga Community Center, 1307 Washington St., 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., instructor Karen Mann leads a Hatha yoga and fitness class. No registration required; fee is $5.

A support and assistance for older adults service provided at Rianda House Senior Activity Center on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon. The center is located at 1475 Main St., in St. Helena. Memorial brick laying

The Calistoga American Legion 231 will be placing 25 new bricks into the Veterans Memorial Plaza beginning at 9 a.m. The public, family and friends of the inductees are invited to watch or participate. The memorial is located at Logvy Park, at the corner of Washington and N. Oak streets.

Calistoga Farmers Market

Find fresh local produce and artisan wares at the weekly Saturday Farmers Market. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 1235 Washington St.

Adult Guitar Workshop

Join Dan Willinger for free, small-group, beginner-focused guitar workshops at the Calistoga Library. Build your skills and knowledge, learn how to practice at home, and work on everything from chord shapes and simple songs to reading music notation and tablature. Adults meet third Saturdays, 10-11 a.m. Limit of 6 students per workshop, so register in advance by calling the library at (707) 942-4833.

Storytime

Copperfield’s Books, 1330 Lincoln Ave., holds a weekly Storytime reading for children beginning at 11 a.m.

Book signing

Romeo Vineyards, 1224 Lincoln Ave., will hold a book signing from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. by author Stephen Kuusisto for his book “Have Dog Will Travel: A Poet’s Journey”. Wine by the glass will be available for purchase. Attendance is free, and registration is recommended due to limited seating.

Author Nancy Tingley will discuss her book “A Death in Bali: A Jenna Murphy Mystery,” starting at 7 p.m. at Copperfield’s Books, 1330 Lincoln Ave.

Larry Vuckovich at Tucker Farm Center benefit concert

Larry Vuckovich will perform a live jazz and blues organ concert with Napa vocalist Kellie Fuller and other artists in a concert to benefit the Tucker Farm Center and needed maintenance repairs. The concert will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.; doors open at 2 p.m. The Tucker Farm Center is located at 1201 Tucker Summit Dr. at Highway 29. Fourth Friday Walk for Democracy

A group of concerned citizens will gather in front of the Calistoga Library, 1108 Myrtle St. at noon and “Walk for Democracy” to Cal Mart and walk back to the library. Participants are encouraged to bring signs with the messages you want to be heard. This is an opportunity to find others who want to explore actions to address your issues.
