Happy Easter! I’m very excited to be sharing some wonderful programs and opportunities for seniors.
In my email, I recently received a most welcome note from Robert Hays, who is with Collabria Care, at 414 Jefferson St., Napa.
Robert wanted us to be especially aware of two outstanding programs coming up. First is Caregiver 101, taking place at Collabria Care on April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Robert said, “This is an excellent introduction to care giving involving hands-on practice.” For example, safe and different efficient techniques for bathing, dressing, transfers and mobility are demonstrated. Although this program is open to everyone, professionals can receive continuing education units for attending. Make reservations at 258-9087 ext. 272.
The second program is the Community Conversation Series 2017 – Sleep: The Key Element to Your Well-Being, on May 2, 5:30 to 7 p.m. featuring sleep expert Michael Mason, M.D. This workshop will address an issue that is so important to patients and their caregivers: sleep! Kal Edwards is the coordinator for this series of forums.
The program will discuss the fact that as we age our sleeping patterns change. Learn how quality rest leads to good health and longevity, how sleep is a reset for your brain and body, how to get a full night’s rest, solutions for insomnia, snoring and restlessness. Come to the forum and renew your relationship with sleep. Call 258-9087 ext. 272 for reservations. This is a free community event. Make reservations early, as they fill up rapidly.
These both sounded fascinating, so I asked for more.

Well, folks, that about wraps it up. Please share with your friends any of these ideas you think might be of interest to them. I can’t say enough about Collabria Care. They do so much for us seniors. Thank you, Robert, for all this wonderful information. We’ll visit again, soon, as I want to share with my readers the brand new Upvalley village that is to open this summer.
Stay happy, and share your joy.
