A developer has filed an application to build 14 town homes at the current location of KVON/KVYN on Foster Road. The radio station will relocate its offices.

The current location of Napa’s KVYN and KVON radio stations could be redeveloped into 14 townhomes, according to an application filed with the city.

The project, proposed by property owner Tusker Corporation, is located at 1124 Foster Road in south Napa. Tusker is a real estate and business management company based in San Francisco.

The chairman and CEO of Tusker Corporation is Roger Walther, the former owner of the radio stations.

Elaine Reyff, a spokesperson for Tusker Corporation, said that because Foster Road is a residential neighborhood, housing is “the highest and best use for that parcel.”

Walther is a successful investor and bank founder who primarily lives in St. Helena. His company, Wine Country Broadcasting, bought the radio stations in 2003 from Charles B. Moss III and CBM Napa LLC.

In May 2017, Wilfred and Julissa Marcencia of Wine Down Media agreed to buy the stations from Wine Country Broadcasting for $425,000.
