Measure D needs everyone's support. We do not need helicopters flying all over our beautiful and peaceful valley. Measure D will prevent this. Opponents of Measure D, led by our State Senator Dodd, are being dishonest in their ballot statements against D. This is not a difference of opinion. It is a simple matter of fact.
Senator Dodd says, incorrectly, that PG&E will not be able to replace power poles in terrain that requires helicopters to bring in the poles. Not true. PG&E is exempted for this purpose.
They also say that REACH air ambulance will not be able to perform emergency medical services. Again not true. This service is also exempted.
Measure D does say that in Napa County you cannot land a helicopter on one's property for personal use. You will not be able to commute by helicopter from your Calistoga home to your Napa workplace. We also will not suffer the intrusion of sightseeing helicopters. These aircraft are extremely loud and heard from a long distance away. There are 136,000 residents in Napa County. One person wants to fly to and from his home in a helicopter. The other 135,999 do not want the noise of helicopters ruining our peace and tranquility.
Do not fall for Senator Dodd's untrue ballot arguments. Vote YES on Measure D.
