Pumpkin Patch at the Pool returns to Philip West Aquatic Center

For the second year in a row parents and kids didn’t let a little rain get in the way of swimming for pumpkins in American Canyon.

The American Canyon Community and Parks Foundation hosted its 2nd Annual Pumpkin Patch at the Pool on Saturday at the Philip West Aquatic Center.

The weather was rainy at times, just like last year’s inaugural Pumpkin Patch at the Pool.

But the showers did not hurt attendance. About 140 people showed up at the family event that included swimming for pumpkins as well as fall-themed crafts and activities, face painting, balloon animals, and pumpkin decorating.

Lunch was also provided, compliments of the American Canyon Lions Club.

The pumpkins were donated by Wal-Mart.

Dozens of students from American Canyon High School volunteered to help with crafts and other activities.
