A 25-year-old Vallejo woman was arrested Friday after she was detained at about 11:30 a.m. for allegedly shoplifting at Walmart Supercenter in American Canyon, according to American Canyon police.

Store employees said Jessica Marie Eggleson-Davey, of Vallejo, and another woman allegedly walked throughout the store, selecting numerous items, including a car battery, groceries, and cosmetics, police said. The women then allegedly took the goods to the return area, exchanging many of the items for a gift card valued at $383.16, police said.

The unidentified female then allegedly went to the cash register, using the gift card to pay for merchandise, authorities said.

Eggleson-Davey admitted having a plastic bag of suspected methamphetamine and a smoking pipe, police said.

She was booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of burglary, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, police said. The other woman was not jailed, police said.
