Progressive Women of Napa Valley endorses Pierre Washington and Robert Vega for the American Canyon City Council and Mary Ann Mancuso for the Napa Valley College Board of Trustees.
Newcomer Pierre Washington has a fresh perspective that will be a valuable addition to the incumbents’ expertise on the City Council. He has been very involved in the community for the past 13 years and is committed to improving transparency between the Council and its constituents. The city’s traffic challenges have been his special interest and Pierre will bring new ideas to mitigate congestion.
In addition, to support the city’s long-term prosperity, Pierre will work to improve the processes for decision-making on major development projects (many of which have been stalled for 10 or more years). His deep knowledge about American Canyon infrastructure will be invaluable in making choices about the city’s growth.
Robert Vega will bring many of these same qualities to his work on the council. He is deeply involved in the community and knowledgeable about the city’s current condition and its challenges and opportunities. His “can do” approach will improve the council’s success in making astute choices for the future.
