Beautification Foundation honors two St. Helena properties

A new outdoor event space and a re-landscaped home on Oak Avenue have been honored by the St. Helena Beautification Foundation.

The group’s annual “We Love What You Have Done” awards are being presented to the Tre Posti at 641 Main St. and Mary Stuard’s home at 1531 Oak Ave.

Tre Posti opened last October as an outgrowth of the former Tra Vigne restaurant’s old catering service. Its event garden provides a much-needed outdoor space for nonprofits and businesses to hold celebrations, said Joice Beatty, board president of the Beautification Foundation.

“It’s gorgeously planted, usable and a great asset to the community,” Beatty said.

Stuard’s home was honored for its attractive new drought-tolerant landscaping, Beatty said.

“The old garden was a real water-sucker, so she changed it into something a lot more drought-tolerant,” Beatty said. “It looks really great.”
