It has recently come to my attention that Councilmember Geoff Ellsworth made contact with the Seventh-day Adventist Church to interfere with the agreement between the church and Las Alcobas to accommodate overflow parking at the hotel. I live in this neighborhood and find Los Alcobas a welcome addition to our town, as well as our town coffers.

I’m delighted that the church and other neighbors, like Beringer, were able and willing to support Las Alcobas in finding alternative parking. That’s what community is all about. If I’ve misunderstood Mr. Ellsworth’s intentions, I would love to hear from him. And if he did in fact try to interfere with their relationship or agreement, I would like to know why and who he is representing in doing that.
