Oct. 21-28, 2018 is the 13th annual National Friends of Libraries Week, and it’s the perfect opportunity for staff and trustees of the St. Helena Public Library to give Friends & Foundation a big thank you for all they do to make a difference for us every day.

Each year, Friends & Foundation funds hundreds of programs and new collections for our library. Thanks to Friends & Foundation, you can bring your child to story time, come see live falcons and snakes, enjoy international music and dance, check out the latest books and e-books, or stream movies and music to your favorite device, all for free. In addition, Friends & Foundation has rallied countless times to advocate for our library.

You can support our library with a generous, tax-deductible donation to Friends & Foundation and by attending Bookmark Napa Valley, the annual fundraiser to be held on Jan. 27, 2019. The stellar lineup of authors making up this event includes Cristina Garcia ("Dreaming in Cuban" and "Here in Berlin"), Craig Johnson (the "Longmire" series), and Hampton Sides ("In the Kingdom of Ice" and "On Desperate Ground"). Lisa Napoli ("Ray & Joan" and "Radio Shangri-La") will again be the master of ceremonies. It promises to be an excellent evening.

To make a donation or for more information about Bookmark Napa Valley, please visit supportSHlibrary.org or stop by the library.
