The Sonoma Arts Live Teens ’N Training program holds auditions for "Peter and the Starcatcher," directed by Libby Oberlin, on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 1-3 p.m. at The Theater School, 19485 Highway 12 in Sonoma.

Rehearsals start on Jan. 10, and performances are March 8-11 and 15-18 at The Sonoma Community Center.

Male and female auditioners age 13-19 of all abilities and experience are invited to read from scripts that will be provided. "Peter and the Starcatcher" is not a musical but does include some songs so auditioners for certain roles may also be asked to sing a short selection from a pop or rock song.

A Tony-winner for Best Play, "Peter and the Starcatcher" is written by Rick Elice, adapting Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s bestselling novel “introducing” J.M. Barrie’s classic characters Peter Pan, Hook, Mrs. Darling and others.

"Peter and the Starcatcher" offers actors the opportunity to play bold characters in the most ensemble driven play we’ve explored yet with TNT." Oberlin says. "This hilarious show uses ingenious stagecraft and the limitless possibilities of imagination to bring the story to life.”

Tuition for youth cast in the production is $375. To attend auditions for "Peter and the Starcatcher," email Moira McGovern at moira@webmoiradesign.com.
