The Jarvis Conservatory presents "Back to Burgundy," directed by Cédric Klapisch, on Saturday, May 19, at 4 and 7 p.m. Tickets are $10.
"Back to Burgundy" is a critically acclaimed and festival- celebrated film that offers a slice of wine country life.
The three siblings reunite at their home in picturesque Burgundy to save the family vineyard when Jean, after a 10-year absence, returns to his hometown when his father falls ill. Reuniting with his sister Juliette and his brother Jérémie, they have to re-build their relationship and trust as a family again. Their father's death leaves them with the estate and a looming inheritance tax of half a million dollars.
As four seasons and two harvests go by, Jean, Juliette, and Jeremie learn to reinvent their relationship and trust in each other as they work to preserve the land that ties them together.
