Judy Donovan’s 'Collected Works' will be on display through April 25 in The Margrit Mondavi Vineyard Room at the Robert Mondavi Winery in Oakville.
Donovan is an artist and teacher, living and working in Napa. She studied fine arts at Michigan State University, and has shown her works through juried competitions at several Bay area galleries.
"Landscape makes its way into much of my work as visible structure or unseen motivation," Donovan said. "Cityscapes and construction sites are a new fascination. They are an inspiration for my compositions, providing a strong geometric element, rather than my customary use of organic shapes from the natural world. My current work experiments with the dramatic contrast of black and white, using expressive drawing techniques. Large paintings are the result, built upon and influenced by these raw, spontaneous drawings.”
The winery, at 7801 St Helena Highway, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
