Di Rosa has opened its biennial show “MFA Selections” showcasing the work of artists who recently completed their Master of Fine Art degrees at Bay Area art schools and colleges.

The show runs through March 31 in the Gatehouse Gallery at the art and nature preserve at 5200 Carneros Highway, Napa.

The artists included in the exhibition were chosen from a pool of artists nominated by faculty from regional institutions including California College of the Arts, John F. Kennedy University, Mills College, San Francisco Art Institute, San Francisco State University, Stanford University, UC Berkeley and UC Davis.

Selected artists are: Llewelynn Fletcher from California College of Art; Jacqueline Gordon from Stanford; Angie Wilson from San Francisco State, and Chris Fraser, Camilla Newhagen and Chelsea Pegram from Mills College.

This year’s jury included Cathy Kimball, executive director of the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, Eli Ridgway, owner of Eli Ridgway Gallery, and art writer Alison Bing.

Reflecting the diverse voices of today’s young artists, MFA Selections will include sculptures and installations using light, sound, textiles and other unusual materials. Many of the artists are creating new or site-specific works responding to the di Rosa property and the exhibition space.
