Arts Council Napa Valley has named Jamie Graff, executive director and co-founder of Nimbus Arts, as the 2015 Napa County Arts Hero.

A Calistoga resident, Graff has directed the St. Helena-based Nimbus Arts since 2005. Nimbus Arts has led programs like the Mariposa Project, Dia de los Muertos Celebration and Napa River environmental arts and performance project utilizing the power of the arts to engage the community in vital cultural and social issues.

Prior to her work at Nimbus Arts, Graff was a winemaker, agricultural educator and small-business owner as well as founder of the Napa Valley Soapbox Derby and St. Helena Harvest Festival Fun Run.

Graff will be presented with this honor at the Arts in April launch party Thursday, April 2, at 6 p.m. at the Napa Valley Museum on the grounds of the Veterans Home of California in Yountville. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased at the door.
