Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch’s holds its fourth annual All-Star Big Band Benefit Concert to raise money for the Timothy W. Hall Foundation on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 3:30 p.m.

Long Meadow Ranch owners Ted Hall, Laddie Hall, and Chris Hall will welcome a 20-player band of internationally accomplished jazz musicians to gather and perform on the Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch lawn to remember and celebrate their late child, and brother, Timothy Hall.

All proceeds will directly benefit the local community through the Timothy W. Hall Foundation, founded in honor of Timothy Hall who, in 1996, suddenly died at the age of 13 from a brain hemorrhage. While Timothy is gone, his memory and spirit lives on and remains a central part of the food, wine, activities, and continuous growth of Long Meadow Ranch.

The Timothy Hall Foundation’s work embodies Timothy’s love for music and agriculture; using the funds raised to ensure youth have the opportunity to participate in a diverse range of extracurricular activities. Since 1997, the foundation has supported innovative kindergarten-12th grade arts and science programs, school gardens, animal husbandry and music curriculum.

In the spirit of getting St. Helena and Napa Valley's youth involved in the community, Long Meadow Ranch offers all local students, 18 and under, complimentary tickets to the concert.

This year's line-up of musicians is scheduled to include Mary Fettig, Fil Lorenz, Steve Steinberg, Tod Dickow, Aaron Lington, Rick Walsh, Dr. Jon Brummel, Ted Hall, Dan Gordon, Niel Levonius, Steffen Kuehn, Brian Switzer, Dimitri Matheny, Art Khu, Andrew Higgins, Curt Moore, Dave Weeks, Billy Valentine and Clairdee.

Previous years' performers have included Grammy Award winners Tom Scott, Aaron Lington and Steffen Kueh -- musicians who have recorded with some of the industry’s greats, including Stan Kenton, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and Sting.

The All-Star Big Band Concert ticket options include an adult ticket and a youth (free for 18 and under) ticket. Tickets can be purchased via www.longmeadowranch.com/things-to-do/bands/lmr-all-star-big-band

The adult ticket online in advance is $50 per person, excluding tax, and is $60 at the door. It includes concert entry at 3:30 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Long Meadow Ranch has also partnered with San Francisco-based transportation service Chariot to bring guests to Napa Valley from San Francisco and back. Tickets for a Chariot trip will be available for $60 per person.

Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch is at 738 Main St. in St. Helena.
