Ken Sonkin performs on June 24 at Lucky Penny Community Arts Center in Napa.

The Lucky Penny Community Arts Center’s Summer Comedy & Music Series presents “MAGIC * MUSIC * MADNESS: An Evening of Comedy Magic starring Ken Sonkin” on Saturday, June 24 for one show at 8 p.m.

Sonkin is an award-winning actor/director whose work has been seen at numerous Bay Area theaters. He has appeared in concert with Jay Leno, Ellen DeGeneres, Red Skelton, Howie Mandel, Paula Poundstone, Dave Chapelle, The Manhattan Transfer and The Drifters.

He has entertained in Las Vegas, on The Late Show, A&E’s Comedy On The Road, PBS, Molson Canadian Comedy Releaf. He has headlined at The Ice House, Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, The Punchline, The Improv, The LA Playboy Club and Hollywood’s Legendary Magic Castle. He has also performed for Queen Elizabeth II of England.

He earned a BFA in acting from Ohio State University, trained at The National Theatre Conservatory, and holds an MFA from A.C.T. He is in his 13th year teaching acting at the University of San Francisco.

“MAGIC * MUSIC * MADNESS” is rated for mature audiences and has a running time of two hours including one 15-minute intermission.
