The Napa County Board of Supervisors has approved new grant guidelines for the 2018-19 arts grant funding cycle.
County revenue generated by Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT), when travelers rent accommodations, pays for the grants. This year’s total arts grant funding will be about $250,000, provided by the TOT.
Grant applications are now available on the Napa County Arts & Culture Advisory Committee page, at countyofnapa.org.
The deadline to submit grant applications is March 22.
The board voted to approve two main categories: Tourism Generating Arts and Culture Organization, and General Arts and Culture Organization, with at least 50 percent of the grant total going toward the tourism category. Organizations may apply in a variety of sub-categories and for a maximum award based on the organization’s annual budget size.
