Photojournalist Tim Carl will talk about his experiences covering the October wildfires in “Sifting Through the Ashes” at the Napa library’s Remarkable Journeys series, on Thursday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m.

Carl is a frequent contributor to the Napa Valley Register, as well as other publications.

“Everyone touched by the recent tragic fires had their role to play,” Carl said. “From first responders to those that stayed out of the way, everyone took on a task and tried their best.”

Carl will also share photos and thoughts on “what I found during the long days and sleepless, smokey nights of what continues to be one of the biggest natural calamities in local memory.

The library is at 580 Coombs St., Napa.
