A bridge on a main highway linking Italy with France collapsed Tuesday in the Italian port city of Genoa during a sudden, violent storm, sending vehicles plunging nearly 150 feet into a heap of rubble. The city's mayor said dozens were killed, although some people were found alive in the debris.

Some 250 dogs and 450 people strolled the Oxbow Commons and downtown streets Sunday morning during Napa Humane's seventh annual Walk for Animals, which the nonprofit group said raised at least $95,000 for pet spaying, neutering and other animal welfare services.
