Mrs. Lopez is the wife of Ruben Lopez and the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Dario Felix Ballina, Jr. She is the mother of Andrew Creighton LeBlanc of San Francisco, CA; and Ryan Reynolds LeBlanc of New Orleans, LA. She is the sister of Bettye Germaine Bordelon of Prarieville, LA; and Andrew Ryan Ballina of New Orleans, LA. Mrs. Lopez is the grandmother of Harrison, Mary Reynolds, Hope and John LeBlanc. She was a graduate of Ursuline Academy in New Orleans and received her bachelor’s from Loyola University in New Orleans where she was a member of the Theta Phi Alpha Catholic Women’s Fraternal organization. She also earned her master’s in education from University of New Orleans. After retiring from her 17 year California career in textbook sales management to school districts, Dariann moved to Calistoga with her husband Ruben. She enjoyed being an active member of the Soroptimist Women’s Community organization and participated in many community improvement projects. She was passionate in her enjoyment of reading chapter books aloud to the third and fourth grade classes at the grammar school each year. Dariann worked at the local food bank dispensing food items to needy people. She loved being a Calistogan because of all the wonderful and caring people that live here and was a legendary shopper at the Farmers Market. She was a regular at the swimming pool water aerobics classes and loved dancing at the Summer Concerts in Pioneer Park. Dariann attended weekly Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church at 11AM on Wednesday, June 14th by Father Angelito Perez. The church is located at 901 Washington St., Calistoga.
