Robert Boals, 74, died May 6, 2014, after a lengthy battle with cancer and the neurological disorder, progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). He was born April 12, 1940, in Albany, Calif., to Nathan and Martha Boals. He served in the U.S. Army and then for more than 30 years with the Napa Police Department. He was a DARE officer and worked with the Junior Traffic Patrol and with the Adult Crossing Guards. He left a lasting impact on the Napa community.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; and children, Rusty, Sean, Chris, Sandy and Eric.
