NAPA COMMUNITY SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH
As Pastor Furness’ boys are getting older the question of who gets to hold the remote is becoming a big deal. They don’t watch a lot of TV but when they do the remote is the prized possession. Obviously, this isn’t about a small device with buttons but about who is in charge. Do we do this with God? Many of us attempt to tell God what to do and where to go. We want to hold his remote, the Bible, using it to direct people. Our job is not to control God or people. Jesus said, “Follow me,” not the other way around. The worship service starts at 11:15 AM on Saturday morning, July 14 when Pastor Nate Furness will present his sermon, “Control.”
