On Sunday, March 28, a flotilla of small electric boats gathered at the Napa Valley Yacht Club for its inaugural e-boat regatta. Open to members and nonmembers of the Yacht Club, the regatta attracted 12 e-boats of varying shapes and sizes which floated from the Yacht Club down to the Southern Crossing and back for a homemade brunch hosted by the Yacht Club’s social committee. The regatta was the brainchild of new Commodore Nancy Mueller who took office December 2020.
“Following a year of limited gatherings, we wanted to host a safe but fun event on the water for all to enjoy” said Nancy Mueller, NVYC Commodore 2021. “The weather couldn’t have been more perfect with a calm river, rising tide and sunny skies. It was a great day out on the water in pursuit of the Napa Valley Yacht Club’s mission of fun, courtesy and community on the water.”
