The Napa Open Space District hosted a night hike along the Oat Hill Mine Trail in Calistoga. Participants tested their night vision and learned about the nocturnal and crepuscular animals. The moon shone through the clouds, while the coyotes howled and the Pacific chorus frogs sang. Bats and glow worms were seen during the hike. Next month there will be a geology hike on Mt. St. Helena Summit Trail at Robert Louis Stevenson State Park at 10 a.m. on Feb. 16. Hikers Bryett Conaster, Tyler Beach, Tony Sarto, Sarah Clark, Nanda Holz, Harvey Hecht, Laura Bryan, Arthur, Amanda Ardizzone, Julie Ehlers, Jonny Ehlers, Maxine Cottrell, Masali Charún, Tania Hammidi and Benny pose for a group photo.
