FAIRFIELD -- Fairfield, Vacaville and Benicia police arrested three women and a man during a human trafficking operation Saturday.
Detectives posed as customers on internet websites and agreed to meet prostitutes who appeared under 18 years old at a residence in Fairfield, Fairfield police Officer Kathryn McCormick said.
A human trafficking victims' advocate offered resources to the women, but they were booked into Solano County Jail on suspicion of prostitution. One of the women, a 28-year-old Fairfield resident, also was booked on narcotics charges.
Melvin Bellard, 47, of Palo Alto, who arrived at the residence with the one of the women, was booked on suspicion of pandering and forgery, McCormick said.
