Bicyclist arrested on suspicion of riding under the influence

A bicyclist riding westbound on First Street at the southbound offramp of Highway 29 Tuesday around 7 p.m. allegedly rode through the intersection on a red light and struck a vehicle pulling onto First Street on a green light, according to Napa police. 

Donald Hartman, 50, a transient, allegedly walked away from the scene, police said. He was found a short distance away, Sgt. Don Honey said.  

He was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence and illegal possession of a concealed weapon. He was booked into the Napa County Jail.
