CHP: Fairfield woman arrested for alleged DUI following Napa County injury crash

A 25-year-old Fairfield woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after the car she was driving crashed into a telephone pole along Wooden Valley Road on Tuesday night, according to California Highway Patrol.

Isle D. Hernandez was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla eastbound on Wooden Valley Road, east of Highway 121 at about 8:10 p.m. when she allowed the vehicle to hit the pole "due to her intoxicated state," CHP Officer Marc Renspurger said. Hernandez was transported with minor injuries to Queen of the Valley Medical Center.

One of Hernandez's passengers, Ruby Bonilla, 24, of Suisun City, was transported with moderate injuries to NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield. Three other passengers were not injured. All occupants were wearing seat belts, police said.

After being treated at the Queen, Hernandez was booked at the Napa County jail on suspicion of DUI causing injury.
