The city of Napa will kick off its third Citizens Academy, a free, nine-week program designed to help residents learn about their city government, on Sept. 30.
Participants will meet City Council members, department heads and staff, learn how decisions are made, how city funds are allocated and how departments operate. Participants will become more informed on current issues and proposed projects.
Seven of the nine sessions will be held on Wednesday evening. One session will be on a Thursday, and the last session on Monday, Nov. 23.
The academy is free to city residents 18 years and older. To apply or for information, select Citizens Academy from the Quick Links menu at www.cityofnapa.org or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline to submit applications is Sept. 14.
