A temporary work of art — a luminous flaming candle held by a hand — appeared on Napa Valley Vine Trail pavement north of the Vallejo Street intersection on Halloween Day. Created by Chalk Riot, the drawing is located on a stretch of trail that’s known as the Rail Arts District. Murals adorn many of the walls facing the trail. Chalk Riot produces pavement art and chalkboard murals for special events and interiors. Chelsea Ritter-Soronen, based in Napa, is the sole proprietor of Chalk Riot.
