Four 7-Eleven convenience stores across Napa County were robbed at gunpoint on Thursday morning, according to the Napa County Sheriff's Office.
The man suspected of robbing the stores of an undisclosed amount of cash was arrested by the afternoon.
Andrew Vincent Starmer, 25, was arrested on suspicion of four counts of armed robbery after admitting to robbing the 7-Eleven stores on American Canyon Road in American Canyon, Imola Avenue in unincorporated Napa County, and on Silverado Trail and Lincoln Avenue in the city of Napa, said Sheriff's Capt. Keith Behlmer.
Detectives from both Napa Police and the Napa County Sheriff's Office worked jointly on the case, following up on leads that led them to Starmer who was found at a residence on the 1500 block of Juanita Court in southeast Napa, Behlmer said.
During questioning and subsequent search warrants on Starmer's vehicle and residence, clothing and a loaded semiautomatic handgun associated with the robberies were found, Behlmer said.
Starmer admitted the robberies during questioning, investigators said.
He was arrested at the house and booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of four counts of armed robbery.
