A 39-year-old man was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 1500 block of Tapestry Lane in American Canyon on suspicion of incest and other sex crimes, according to the American Canyon Police Department.
Napa County sheriff’s detectives arrested Miguel Segura Roman at 3:15 p.m. at his residence east of Highway 29, police said. He was booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of victimizing a female relative over the course of several years, according to police. The alleged abuse began before she was 10, according to Chief Tracey Stuart.
The allegations came to light on Sunday after the alleged victim disclosed to her mother what had been happening, police said.
Roman was booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of child molestation, continued child molestation over a period of time, incest, sex with a child under the age of 10, penetration with a foreign object and child endangerment, according to Stuart. As of Wednesday, Roman had not yet been charged, according to the Napa County District Attorney’s Office.
