Napa Valley Expo’s Chardonnay Hall will become the center stage for Napa Lucha Libre, Napa’s first professional Mexican wrestling exhibition, on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 5-8 p.m.
“Mexican wrestling is different from American wrestling,” said event promoter Gustavo Loyola. “There are no storylines to follow. We keep it simple. It’s the good guys versus the bad guys, and the action is non-stop. There’s a lot of jumping and aerial stunts. It will be unlike anything Napa has ever seen.”
Loyola grew up watching Mexican wresting on TV and was inspired to bring a live event to his hometown of Napa. The inaugural event will feature Los Idolos De Los Ninos (The Children’s Heroes) and Rey Bucanero and Pirata Morgan. Bestia, Rey Horus, Vaquero Fantasma, and El Ultimo Panda are also scheduled to appear.
Napa Lucha Libre is presented by Pro Wrestling Revolution. Tickets are $15 for general admission, and $25 for rows 2-5. Front-row tickets are already sold out. Doors open at 4 p.m.
Napa Valley Expo is located at 575 Third St., Napa. For more information, visit facebook.com/napaluchalibre.
