The Kayleigh Slusher murder trial is taking a break for the Memorial Day weekend with one jury still deliberating and the other jury having reached a verdict on Thursday.

Jurors deliberating the case against Ryan Scott Warner had not announced a verdict as of Friday afternoon and were excused for the weekend. Deliberations are expected to continue on Tuesday.

The jury hearing the case against Sara Lynn Krueger reached a verdict on Thursday, but that verdict will remain sealed until the Warner jury also reaches a verdict.

Warner, 29, and Krueger, 27, are accused of murdering Krueger’s 3-year-old daughter, Kayleigh Slusher, in their Napa apartment in 2014. Their trials have been heard simultaneously and in the same courtroom but by two juries for the majority of four weeks.
