The Napa Police Department will have additional officers on patrol Sunday in anticipation of Cinco de Mayo partiers who may get behind the wheel.

The department reminded the public in an emailed statement that prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications and cannabis can also be impairing. Partiers are encouraged to find a designated driver, or catch a cab, Uber, Lyft or Curb.

The operation is funded thanks to a grant from the state Office of Traffic Safety.
